Uninformed math teachers should not teach our children.

This is a harsh statement but the truth. Every teacher that teaches our public school children should know the structure of our number system. This seem a lot, but it is not that much:
(a) Natural Number System -- 1,2,3,...
(b) Whole Number System-- 0,1,2,3,...
(c) Integers - ...-2,-1,0,+,1+2,+3...
(d) All of the operations of each
(c) The hardest of all the national numbers system- fractions and all four operations.
No elementary teachers should teach our children without all of the above.
We must teach our children all of the above in grades one through eight, and of course applications of each skill or concept.

Mathmatics is The Hand Maiden Of Science.

If the intent of the administration of Americas public schools is to move America from the near bottom of the industrial nations of the world in scientific achievement, we must improve what we teach our children in the math classes of America.

To work with the whole number system - 0,1,2,3,... together with the integers...-3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3,... and the rational number system-fraction and decimals is a chance in understanding the dream world of science and engineering.

It took millions of years for the human race to reach the present mathematics status. To deni our children from this knowledge and a chance to look at the science of today is criminal.

The Caculator Is the Destruction of Learning Math.

To understand numbers you must study them. When a child first starts to count she quickly learns that you can count for ever- the concept of infinity is realized.
To learn the operations of whole numbers is a must. Although the calculator gives an answer to all four operation- what does one do to understand mathematical calculation that accrue in simple high school math. Without studying the integers a pupil will fail the simplest algebra course. Without algebra your mathematical understanding is at no end.
